GAS INPUT FOR DIRECT VENT WALL FURNACE
CONVERTED TO PROPANE GAS:
DV210-(7,10)SG, DV210SGX-1,2 .... 10,000 BTU per hour
DV215-(7,10)SG, DV215SGX-1,2 .... 15,000 BTU per hour
The direct vent wall furnace when converted to Propane Gas
will have manifold pressure of 10.0" w.c. at the valve outlet
with the inlet pressure to the valve from a minimum of 11.0"
w.c., for the purpose of input adjustment, to a maximum
of 13.0" w.c.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR CONVERSION
1. If furnace is installed, turn off gas and electric supply
before making conversion.
2. Depress and turn gas shut-off dial on valve to "OFF"
position.
3. Disconnect pilot tubing at the pilot burner and the gas
valve.
4. Remove the combustion chamber door from the
combustion chamber.
5. Remove screw holding burner to combustion chamber
and remove burner.
6. Remove the main burner orifice and replace with
Propane main burner orifice supplied in conversion kit.
DV210 is marked 65. DV215 is marked 58.
7. Replace burner and combustion chamber door.
8. Remove pilot orifice from pilot and replace with Propane
pilot orifice marked BBR 9 supplied in conversion kit.
9. Attach pilot tubing with ferrells, supplied in conversion
kit, to the pilot burner and the gas valve.
10. Remove regulator section marked either 3.5 or 4.0 on
gas valve.
11. Install regulator section marked 10.0 supplied in
conversion kit. NOTE: If converting a non-Robertshaw
valve, use Dexen regulator section supplied in kit.
12. The converted furnace must be connected to a supply
of the conversion gas and checked for leaks.
13. The furnace must be checked to ensure it is operating
at the correct pressure of 10.0" W.C.
14. Conversion is completed. The burner flame and pilot
flame must be checked for proper flame characteristics,
as outlined in the Installation Instructions and Owner's
Manual.

VERIFYING RATE OF CONVERTED FURNACE
The input of the furnace must be checked as follows:
1. Turn off all other gas appliances. Clock the gas meter
and determine the number of seconds required to
consume one cubic foot of gas.
2. 3600 ÷ time (in seconds) = cu. ft. per hour.
3. Then cu. ft. per hour x heating value of gas = input
rate (BTUH). On installation without gas meters, check
manifold for proper pressure.
PLACEMENT OF CONVERSION LABELS
1. Conversion label R-1322 is to be placed in a location
visible when all heater panels are installed.
2. Gas conversion label R-1321 is to be placed near the
gas control.
If furnace is not installed or warranty card has not been
returned to Empire Comfort Systems, Inc., check off type
of gas converted to on card. Also, indicate conversion by
adding "Conv." behind gas.
