drops below a preset level, the charger will go back into Charge Mode until the
battery voltage returns to the full charge level, at which point the charger will
return to Maintain Mode. The voltage is maintained at a level determined by the
battery type selected.
Deep Cycle Selected - The charged (green) LED will light up when the battery
is charged enough for normal use.
ENGINE START MODE
DANGER! Never attempt to jump-start a frozen or damaged battery. The
battery can explode and cause a serious caustic burn injury. Discard the
battery in accoradance with municipal by-laws.
WARNING! Wear protective eye and clothing when using the engine start
feature. The collected gases may ignite or the battery explode if it is damaged.
NOTICE! Starting the engine with this device without a battery in place can
damage the vehicle's electrical system.
Jump-start your car with the Engine Start mode if you battery is low.
1.
Connect the charger/starter to the battery in accordance to the instructions
in your vehicle owner's manual or the battery manufacture if they are
different from the following:
a.
Attach the positive clamp to the positive battery terminal.
b.
Attach the negative clamp to a ground point on the vehicle frame, away
from the battery. The ground point must be bare metal like a bolt or
bracket. This is to avoid the possibility of sparks that can ignite any
battery gases that may be present (see Battery Precautions – Lead Acid).

Plug the device's power cord into the outlet.
3.
Set the Charge Rate Selector Switch to 75 Amps.
4.
During extremely cold weather or if the battery is under 2 volts, charge the
battery for 5 minutes before attemting to crank the engine.
5.
Crank the engine until it starts or 5 seconds pass. If the engine does not
start, wait 3 minutes before cranking again. This allows the charger and
battery to cool down.
a.
Charge the battery for 5 more minutes before attempting to crank the
engine again.
