2.2 SAFETY DEVICES
The water cleaner is equipped with the safety devices shown below.
a) Thermal protection and amperometric protection.
These devices stop the operation of the water cleaner, respectively, in case of overheating of the
electrical motor or of over-absorption of power supply.
Their triggering is signalled by the turning on of the pilot light (14) (only KE Xtra).
In this case it is necessary to proceed as follows:
•
set the main switch (1) to "0" and disconnect the plug from the socket;
fi«
CAUTION
Make sure you have carried out this operation, because the thermal protection and the ampe-
rometric protection are of the automatic reset type, therefore the water cleaner could restart
suddenly after having cooled down.
•
press the lever (30) of the eater gun in order to discharge the possible residual pressure;
•
wait 10÷15 minutes to cool down the water cleaner;
•
check that the prescriptions contained in the paragraph "CHECKING AND CONNECTING
THE ELECTRICAL LINE" with special reference to the check of the possibly used extension
are respected;
•
reconnect the electrical plug to the socket and repeat the starting procedure described in the
paragraph "OPERATION".
