2. Initial Setup

When you turn on your TV for the first time, it immediately starts the Initial Setup. Follow the instructions displayed
on the screen and configure the TV's basic settings to suit your viewing environment.
Using the TV Controller (UN65KS9800 / UN78KS9800)
You can turn on the TV with the TV controller button at the bottom of the TV, and then use the Control Menu. The
Control menu appears when the button is pressed while the TV is On. For more information about its usage, refer to
the figure below.
Using the TV Controller (UN88KS9810)
You can use the TV Controller on the back of the TV instead of the remote control to control most of the functions
of your TV. While watching TV or cable TV, you can change the channel or adjust the volume by pressing the Control
Stick. When using Smart Hub, the TV's menu, or selecting a source, move the Control Stick up, down, left, or right to
move the cursor. Press the Control Stick to select or activate the item highlighted by the cursor.

Press: Move
Press & Hold (2 Seconds): Select
– After 5 seconds without any control, the Control menu will
disappear.
The TV controller is located on the bottom of the TV.

Control Stick
The Control Stick is located on
the lower left corner of the back
of the TV.
English - 5
: Volume Up
: Volume Down
: Source
w/v: Changes the volume.
</>: Changes the channel.
