defrosted about twice a year.
Procedure:
Disconnect power at the wall socket and
place a bowl of hot water in the cabinet.
Close the door and wait half an hour.
Defrosting can be accelerated by blowing
hot air into the cabinet with a hair drier. It
then becomes easy to scrape out any re-
maining frost.
Pull out the drain spout and place a bowl
under it to receive defrost water
Cleaning
The freezer is best cleaned with a weak
soap solution (max. 85°C). Never use cle-
aning agents that might scratch. Clean the
sealing strip around the door regularly to
prevent discolouration and prolong its life.
Remove dust and threads from the com-
pressor compartment with a vacuum clea-
ner.

Useful hints

Door sticking:
Opening and closing the door creates
underpressure in the cabinet. If you need
to open and close the door repeatedly
within a short period, lay something be-
tween the door sealing strip and cabinet
front edge to create an air gap.
Function stop
If the freezer stops completely, keep the
door closed until a service technician arri-
ves. How long the freezer can remain out
of action without stored items becoming
spoiled will depend on the room tempera-
ture, the quantity of items stored, etc. As a
rule of thumb, depending on its size a full
freezer will retain the cold for 18 to 30
hours - provided the door is kept closed.

will prevent bad smells.
Compressor does not run
