KV 40: Pressure reducing valve
Checking the pressure reducing valve
f Open the water supply pipe (floor shut-off valve, for
f
example).
f Rotate the shut-off valve 90° anti-clockwise to close the cold
f
water inlet.
f Remove the pressure gauge screw and replace it with a pres-
f
sure gauge.
f Open the shut-off valve and check the pressure.
f
f Adjust the pressure reducing valve with the screw if the
f
pressure does not correspond to the maximum permissible
pressure (see chapter "Specification / Data table").
f Check by drawing off water briefly. Clean the pressure reduc-
f
ing valve if the pressure rises.
Removing / cleaning the pressure reducing valve
f Rotate the shut-off valve 90° anti-clockwise to close the cold
f
water inlet.
f Open the tap to drain the DHW cylinder.
f
f Remove the cap from the pressure reducing valve.
f
f Rotate the setting screw in the threaded cap fully anti-clock-
f
wise to release the spring tension.
f Undo the casing cap.
f
f Remove the pressure reducing valve from the casing.
f
f Clean the pressure reducing valve with clear, cold water.
f
f Refit the pressure reducing valve and refit the casing cap.
f
f Fit the cap of the pressure reducing valve.
f
f Adjust the pressure reducing valve (see "Initial start-up / Ad-
f

f Replace the pressure reducing valve if this does not fix the
f
problem.
