3 Eccentric fitting with gasket (23/24 mm spanner)
4 Shut-off valve with pressure gauge connection
5 Cold water inlet

7 Twin connector with union nut and pipe collar
8 Tundish with pipe collar
9 DHW connection pipe with gasket, support ring, locking ring,
fitting
f Flush all water pipes thoroughly before installation.
f
f The safety valve discharge aperture must remain open to the
f
atmosphere.
f Check the clearance between cold and DHW connections of
f
the DHW cylinder towards the wall (see "Specification / Di-
mensions and connections").
f Seal in the twin connectors with the union nut. Fit the
f
twin connectors with the pipe collars for the cold and DHW
connection.
f Fit the eccentric fittings to the DHW cylinder.
f
f Fit the tundish with the pipe collar to the drain pipe. KV 40:
f
Fitting after installation of the safety assembly will no longer
be possible if the tundish has a threaded connection.
f Pre-assemble the pipe bend with union nut to the DHW
f
connection.
f KV 30 | KV 307: Install a suitable flow limiter in the cold water
f
supply.
f Fit the pipe bend (KV 30 | KV 307) or the straight connection
f
pipe (KV 40) with shut-off valve, safety valve and drip facility
together with the union nut to the cold water connection. If
required, you may temporarily disconnect the safety valve
with drip facility during the installation by removing the lock-
ing clip.

f Connect the pipes with union nuts to the connections on the
f
DHW cylinder. Installation is made easier if the eccentric fit-
tings are set to the greatest possible clearance from the wall
and if you lift the DHW cylinder slightly off the wall.
f Tighten the fittings. Counterhold the eccentric fittings.

Initial start-up
f Check the safety valve (see chapter "Maintenance").
f
f Check the non-return valve (see chapter "Maintenance").
f
f KV 40: Check the pressure reducing valve (see chapter
f
"Maintenance").
Adjusting the flow rate
Note
The shut-off valve is unsuitable for setting the flow rate.
KV 30 | KV 307
Replace the flow limiter if required.
If the flow rate is too low, you can remove the flow limiter.
Adjusting the pressure reducing valve
For the setting range, see "Specification / Data table"
f Remove the cap in order to adjust the pressure reducing
f
valve.
f Turn the screw anti-clockwise to reduce the pressure or
f
clockwise to increase it.
