Print Out and Check a Nozzle
Check Pattern
Print out and check a nozzle check pattern to
check the print head condition. If streaks or
unevenness appear in the printed result, perform
cleaning.
Load A3, 11x17, LTR or A4 plain paper in the paper
drawer. Loading at least 10 sheets of A3 or 11x17
paper is recommended.
• Before you proceed further, ink must
complete filling.
• A progress bar is displayed until ink
completes filling.

Load paper sideways to match the paper
guides.

Press <Start> and print out a pattern.

If the printed result appears okay, press <A> to
complete the nozzle check.
If streaks or unevenness appear in the printed
result, press <B> to perform cleaning.
• Depending on the condition of the nozzles,
you may need to check and perform cleaning
several times.
• Settings are complete once the Home screen
is displayed.
