Pull off retention pin (230) to demount retention
button (250).
Caution:
Retention button (250) is pretensioned.

Take out spring (220).
4.5.3
If required, pull out needle bearing (210) by means of
a pulling device.
5. Assembling the machine
Armature
5.1
5.1.1
Place the cover plate (120) on the armature.
5.1.2
Press ball bearing (450) on the shaft.
Warm up bevel gear (170) to approx. 100 °C, and

press on with pressing-on device 6 41 01 019 00 8.
5.1.4
Press on the ball bearing (50), commutator side.
Gear housing and motor housing

5.2.1
Place sealing ring (240) on retention pin (230).
5.2.2
Place retention pin (230,240) into gear housing (200).
5.2.3
Install pressure spring (220).
5.2.4
Place retention button (250) and press in by hand –
hold retention pin (230) when doing so. Make sure
that the groove on the retention button is in true
alignment with the nose on the gear head. Press in
needle bearing (210) to measure 13

Install complete pre-assembled armature (100) into
gear housing (200).
5.2.6
Install pole housing assembly (490) into motor
housing.
5.2.7
Observing proper positioning and orientation, insert
air conducting ring (110) into motor housing (90).
5.2.8
Fit pre-assembled gear housing with armature into
motor housing, insert screws and tighten. Position
new sliding switch (480).
5.2.9
Install brush holder assembly (60) with brush holders
(70) and connect.
Caution:
The brush holder assembly is supplied
with the carbon brush installed.
After installing the new brush holder assembly the
carbon brush lock provided at the side must be
loosened by slightly bending it up (Fig. 1).
This makes sure that the carbon brush moves freely
and lies on the collector. Only loosen the lock when
the armature is installed.
When loosening the lock be especially careful not
to deform the guideway of the carbon brush in the
brush holder.
Finally check that the carbon brush moves freely in
the holder.
If only the carbon brush is replaced, there is no need
to loosen the lock in the brush holder.

5.2.10 Before installing pre-assembled cable (580) and strain

Bearing plate, outer bearing
Press ball bearings (340,360) onto rim gear shaft

Warm outer bearing (330) up to 50-60 C° and then
install rim gear shaft with ball bearing.
Press ball bearing (280) into bearing plate (260).
Press on driving shaft (270). Place cover plate (290).
Press on bevel gear (300).
Install complete bearing plate into gear housing (200)
and screw tight.
Check gear backlash.
If required, adjust backlash by adding/removing
washers (320).
Make test run.
Remove bearing plate and install 40 g of gear
lubricating grease 0 40 101 0100 4. Install the bearing
plate. Fill 10 g of gear grease into rim gear shaft (350).
Place complete outer bearing on bearing plate (260)
and screw tight.

Perform function check, test run and safety check.
