8. Electric Connection
Setting up a master slave chain
The fog machine can be operated controlled by a DMX controller or in a master slave chain. In that case, the integrated
controller of the master device controls the connected slave devices.
• Connect the DMX OUT port of the master device to the DMX IN port of the first slave device.
• Connect the DMX OUT port of the first slave device to the DMX IN port of the subsequent slave device.
• Proceed as described above with all remaining slave devices.
• Plug an XLR plug with a terminating resistor into the DMX OUT connection of the last slave device (as described in
section „Connection of a DMX controller").
b) Connecting the Remote Control
• Install the connection cable for the remote control up to the site from which you are going to control the device.
• The rear of the remote control is magnetic. The remote control thus sticks to metal objects.
• Plug the connection plug of the remote control into the REMOTE CONTROLLER port on the rear of the fog machi-
ne.
c) Mains Connection
The mains socket to which the fog machine is connected must be close to the device and easily
accessible to quickly separate the device from the mains voltage in case of an error.
Do not let the mains cable come into contact with other cables.
Be careful when handling mains cables and mains connections. Mains voltage may cause potentially
fatal electric shock.
Make sure that no cables lie around openly. Install cables professionally to prevent accidents.
Ensure before plugging in the mains plug that the device voltage indicated at the fog machine
corresponds to the available mains voltage. Do not connect the device if the indication does not
correspond to the available mains voltage. Incorrect supply voltage may lead to irreparable damage
to the device and danger to the user.
• Plug the mains plug into a mains socket with a protective ground contact for operation of the device. However, do
not plug in the mains plug. Before connecting the device to the power supply, you first have to fill the tank with fog
liquid (see „Operation").
