Adjusting the handlebars

CAUTION!
❐ When adjusting the handlebars always ensure that both handlebars are mounted at
the same height!
1. You have two options for using the handlebars: actively using the handlebars to build
the muscles in your arms or using the handlebars passively for support.

Workout guideline

CAUTION!
❐ If you belong to a health risk group or have not exercised for a longer period of time,
have a cardiovascular or orthopaedic condition, you should consult your physician
before using the machine. If applicable, consult your workout plan with him/her.
❐ Pregnant persons are not allowed to use the machine and/or only after having con-
sulted their physician.
❐ If you have long hair, be sure to put it up before working out so that there is no pos-
sibility of catching it in the machine! Remove any jewellery.
❐ Always place the device on a fl at, stable and non-slip surface. If necessary, place a
durable base under the device so that the surfaces cannot be damaged.
❐ Warm up before your workout to avoid injury. We urgently remind you that working
out without warming up may result in injury!
Please observe the following when exercising:
Do not hold your breath when exercising. Inhale deeply through your nose and out
through your mouth. Extend your diaphragm when breathing.
Concentrate on your movements. Be sure to keep your back, neck, and shoulders
relaxed. Bend your back slightly, but not too much.

2. You have mounted the handlebars as described in the sec-
tion "Start-up", shown as position A in the fi gure.
3. Once mounted as shown, the handlebars will move in time
to your pedalling. Thus you can workout your leg and arm
muscles at the same time.
4. If you only want to use the handlebars for support, insert
the handlebars into the short pipes on the primary frame
and secure them with the set screws (see position B in the
fi gure).
5. Once mounted as described, the handlebars will remain
in a stationary position so that you will only work out your
legs.
