• If you want to set up the effect light, turn the two mounting brackets so that they form a base and then
tighten the thumbscrew.
• If you want to suspend the effect light, turn the mounting brackets up.
• Install the effect beamer on the ceiling, the wall or a suitable crossbeam with the mounting bracket. The
assembly must never swing freely.
• Secure the device with assembly equipment that is compatible with the attachment surface and suitable
for carrying the weight of the effect light.
• Additionally secure the installation with a suitable safety restraint cable or a safety net. The safety reten-
tion rope or the net must be designed to support the effect light in the event of failure of the main support
system independently of the main attachment.
• Set the desired inclination angle and tighten the thumbscrew well.
9. DMX Connection
You can operate a maximum of 32 devices in a DMX chain without overloading the controller.
The maximum total length of the DMX chain should not exceed 300 m.
Use of XLR microphone cables may cause interferences in the DMX signal transmission. In this
case, please use special DMX high-frequency cables.
a) Connection of a DMX Controller
Only connect the device to a DMX controller with a DMX-512 protocol.
• Connect the port DMX IN (4) with the output of the DMX controller.
• The controller must have 4, 6 or 8 free control channels (depending on DMX operating mode set at the
effect light).
• Connect DMX OUT (5) with the DMX input of the subsequent device.
• Proceed accordingly with all other devices of the DMX chain.
• If the effect light is the last or the only device in the DMX chain, insert an XLR plug with a 120 ohm/0.25 W
terminating resistor into the DMX OUT (5) socket (between Pin2 and Pin3).
