j. On the Master downrigger, a Pair Downrigger
screen will be on the Color LCD. Press the Right
button to select it. The Color LCD will bring
up a "Pairing Downrigger...." message. The Master
downrigger is now actively trying to pair with the
Client Downrigger.
k. On the Client downrigger, a Pair to BT Master
screen will be on the Color LCD. Press the Right
button to select it. The Color LCD will bring
up a "Pairing Downrigger...." message. When this
message displays, the Client downrigger is actively
trying to pair to the Master downrigger.
l. Both downriggers will stay in Pairing Mode for 30
seconds. When they successfully connect, both
downriggers will display a Connected message.
NOTICE: When two downriggers are paired to each other, they will be listed in each other's Device List under the Bluetooth
Menu. When two Downriggers are paired, they know each other. In order for the downriggers to detect each other they need
to be paired and communicating. When the downriggers are powered "on" and have been paired together, they can connect.
When the downriggers are connected they can actively communicate. When the downriggers are powered "off" and have
been paired together, they will know each other, but will not be actively communicating.

m. You can also confirm that the downriggers have
paired to each other by finding them on the
Device List under the Bluetooth Menu. The Master
downrigger will appear on the Device List with a
box around the Bluetooth icon.
NOTICE: The options listed in the Bluetooth Menu will
be different once a downrigger is paired to another
downrigger. On the Master downrigger, the option to
pair with other downriggers, a device or a Fish Hawk
will still be available. On a Client downrigger, the
Bluetooth Menu will only allow you to view the Device
List or Forget BT Master.
n. To pair additional downriggers to the Master
downrigger, repeat the process with the Master
downrigger and the new Client downrigger to be
added to the network.
