Commissioning
1.
Check all connections once again for correctness.
2.
Put the fader slide controllers of the mixing desk to the position "0" (pull it all the
way down).
3.
Plug the power pack into a 230 V outlet of the public supply net.
4.
Turn the access sources like turntable, CD player, cassette deck etc. on.
5.
Turn the mixing desk on with the on/off switch (1).
6.
Turn the volume control of the connected amplifier all the way down.
7.
Turn the amplifier on.
8.
On the amplifier, select the input to which the mixing desk is connected (e.g.
AUX).
9.
Start playback on one of the appliances connected to the mixing desk inputs
(e.g. the CD player).
10. With the input selection switches (8), select the desired input.
11. Place the gain controllers (3) in the middle position.
12. Slide the stereo faders (4) on the mixing desk towards "10" until the recording
level indicator (9) just about reaches "0dB" with loud music passages.
13. Now turn the volume control of the connected amplifier to a suitable volume.
14. Make sure that the connected loudspeakers and the amplifier are not over-
loaded. Playback may not be distorted.
15. In case of distorted inputs, adjust the level of the input signal with the gain con-
trollers (3) on the mixing desk in such a way that the mixing desk is not over-
steered.
If the music signal is distorted although the volume of the amplifi-
er is not set too high and the mixing desk was adjusted properly,
turn the mixing desk off immediately and check the connection. If
the connection seems OK, please contact an expert.
16. Now you can try out the individual functions of the mixing desk.
17. For turning the mixing desk off, first turn down the volume on the amplifier to
minimum.
18. Turn the amplifier off.
19. Turn off the mixing desk with the on/off switch (1) and then the other access
sources (turntable, CD player, etc.). If you do not use the mixing desk for longer
periods of time, pull the power pack out of the wall outlet.

Connection
Prior to connecting the mixing desk, turn it off together with all other appliances you
want to connect to it.
Connecting the Inputs
LINE 1 + 2 input (14)
Connect your cassette deck, your video recorder, your tuner, your CD player, etc. to
the stereo cinch input sockets LINE (14). The input is not suited for turntables.
Connect the white cinch socket of the mixing desk with the left cinch output of the
respective source (e.g. CD player).
Connect the red cinch socket of the mixing desk with the right cinch output of the
respective source (e.g. CD player).
PHONO 1 + 2 input
Connect your turntable to the stereo cinch input sockets PHONO (13). You may not
connect any high-level sources like tuners, CD players, etc. here. The phono inputs
are designed for turntables with magnet systems.
The white cinch socket of the mixing desk is connected with the left cinch output of
the turntable.
When installing the appliance in a rack with other equipment,
ensure sufficient ventilation.
Install the appliance on a stable surface.
Due to the large variety of furniture lacquers and polishes, it can-
not be ruled out that the feet of the appliance leave behind visible
residues on the furniture due to chemical reactions. Therefore, do
not place the device on valuable furniture without suitable protec-
tion.
Do not drill or screw any additional screws into the casing for
mounting the appliance as this will damage it.
For connection to the cinch outputs and inputs, only use suitably
screened cinch cables. Only use a suitable microphone cable for
connecting the microphone input. Using other cables may lead to
distortions. In order to avoid distortions or maladjustments that
may lead to damages to the appliance, you may only connect
sources with a cinch output to the inputs. Please also observe the
connection values listed in the "Technical Data".
