Your tool is double insulated and has a two-prong plug. You may use either a two or three prong extension
cord. Only use rounded jacket extension cords, as short as possible.
Operating the Heat Gun
Removing Paint and Varnish:
1.
Never use heat gun with chemical strippers.
2.
Always clean dried paints and varnishes from nozzle after use to prevent ignition.
3.
Observe safety precautions regarding ventilation. Lead based paint is poisonous, so extra precautions
must be taken.
4.
Use eye protection when working overhead.
5.
Cover all surfaces that should not be heated, with non flammable material.
6.
Turn on and allow gun to reach full power.
7.
Hold nozzle 3" to 4" from paint.
8.
After paint begins to bubble, use a scraper to remove. DO NOT overheat as this will make the paint
more difficult to remove. Use side-to-side motions. Clean scraper's edge frequently to prevent build-up.
9.
Curved surfaces can be removed by using a wire brush.
