Symptom
AIBO does not recognize
the color cards properly.
AIBO does not respond
to commands.

Remedy
• You are using cards other than those supplied with Party
Mascot.
t Use the supplied color cards.
• This may happen depending on the type of lighting. Do the
light test (page 18).
t Try changing the direction of the card (longways or
shortways).
• The lights are turned down or a shadow is cast over the card.
t Turn up the light or hold the card straight up.
• The light reflected by the card has come straight into
AIBO's color camera.
t Change the angle of the card.
• The surroundings are noisy.
t Repeat the command in a quieter place or press the pad
sensors to direct AIBO.
• AIBO does not accept commands while it emits sounds.
• The controller is not set to operate by numeric commands.
t Set the switch of the controller to A/B or send single
sound commands (see "List of commands" in the
"AIBO" ERS-110/111 operation manual.)
