x Install the GPRS Receiver Battery only at a safe place where there is no risk
of damage by mechanical means (falling down) or chemicals (strong
detergents). The warranty is void for devices showing any of the above
described damages.
x Do not connect the GPRS Receiver Battery immediately to a PC. Before, you
have to install the configuration software GPRSReceiverBattery_Setup.exe
from the enclosed CD, which also contains the USB driver for your GPRS
Receiver Battery. Additional information about the configuration software and
the
installation
GPRSReceiverBattery_Manual.pdf, also on the enclosed CD.
Lithium Battery Safety Information
The lithium battery pack, which comes with the GPRS Receiver Battery, is, according
to the battery cell manufacturer, intrinsically safe, that is even in case of an short-
circuit the lithium battery cells will not cause a fire, explose or overheat above 150°C.
Nevertheless, the following safety information must be respected at all times:
x No short-circuiting of the battery pack or single cells!
x Do not connect the battery pack with inverted polarity! A description on the
printed circuit board and the enclosed short manual are showing the correct
polarity.
x Do not recharge the battery pack!
x Do not throw the battery pack into fire!
x Respect the operating temperature range of the battery pack (-20°C to +60°C)!
x Do not damage the battery cells!
x Do not solder or weld on the battery cell housing!
x Do not take the battery pack apart! Do not replace single battery cells of the
battery pack!
