Preventing Damage from Freezing
CAUTION
* Damage can occur from frozen water within the device and pipes even in warm environments.
Be sure to read below for appropriate measures.
* Repairs for damage caused by freezing are not covered by the warranty.
Do not remove the power plug
Freezing cannot be prevented when the power plug is disconnected. Also, take measures
to protect exposed piping by using insulation, heat tape, or electric heaters. When in doubt,
contact your installer.
Do not close the gas valve
The unit will automatically operate (combust) to warm the water within the circuit to prevent
freezing.
Note: Freezing of water within the circuit may not be prevented depending on the heating
system. For details, contact your installer.
Perform the following when not using the boiler for an extensive period
Check the label on the front cover of the device to see if anti-freeze has
been added, then perform the measures indicated below as needed.
When there is anti-freeze
1. Set the Power button to Off.
2. Close the gas valve.
3. Remove the power plug.

1. Insert the power plug.
2. Open the gas valve.
