Maintenance

Warning! Read and understand the safety chapter
before you do maintenance on the product. Refer to "2
Safety" on page 35.

5.1 Maintenance schedule

Maintenance
Examine the harness for
damages.
Examine the handle for
damages and make sure that it
is attached correctly.
Make sure that the cutting
attachment does not rotate at
idle speed.
Clean the air filter. Replace it if
it is damaged.
Examine the trimmer guard/
blade guard for damages and
cracks.
Make sure that the saw blade
or grass blade is attached
correctly. Make sure that the
saw blade or grass blade is
sharp and not damaged.
Examine the trimmer head for
damages and cracks. Replace
it if it is damaged.
Tighten the locknut fully for
cutting attachments with a
locknut.
Tighten nuts and screws.
Examine the engine, the fuel
tank and the fuel lines for
leaks.
Examine the starter rope for
damages. Replace if it is
damaged.
Replace the air filter.
Replace the spark plug.
Lubricate the gear housing.

5.2 To clean the product

Caution! Clean the product daily.
● Use a dry cloth or brush to clean the product.
● Use compressed air to clean the cooling fins of the
engine.
● Use compressed air to clean the air filter.
● Remove leaves, grass or dirt from the area around the
muffler.
● Make sure that the ventilation openings are free from
leaves, grass or dirt.
● Use a wire brush to clean the spark plug.
Caution! Do not spray water over the product. The
penetration of water can damage the engine and electrical
parts.

5.3 To replace the trimmer line

Press the tabs on the sides of the trimmer head.
(Figure 14)

Remove the trimmer line cup.

Remove the trimmer spool.

Insert the trimmer line in the grove on the trimmer
spool. (Figure 15)

Tightly wind the trimmer line around the trimmer
spool counterclockwise.

Attach the end of the trimmer line to the groove on
the edge of the trimmer spool (A). (Figure 16)

Insert the ends of the trimmer lines through the
groves on the support cup (B).

Install the trimmer spool to the support cup .

Install the trimmer line cup.

Install the nut.

Pull the trimmer line until the it is place.
