Pull the harness release (A) forward to release the

Operation

4.1 Fuel

Warning! Read and understand the safety chapter
before you fuel the product.
Caution! Always refuel before use.

4.2 To mix fuel

● For best results and performance use 40 parts fuel to 1
part oil.
● Mix the fuel with good quality 2-stroke oil, intended for
air-cooled 2-stroke engines. Never use oil intended for
4-stroke engines or water-cooled 2-stroke engines.
● Do not use oil mixed fuel that is older than 1 month. The
oil mixed fuel can contaminate the carburettor.
● Store leftover fuel in a dark and cool area in an air-tight
container.

4.3 To fill the fuel tank

Stop the engine and let the engine become cool.

Put the product on a flat and stable surface.

Clean the area around the fuel tank cap.

Shake the container and make sure that the fuel is
fully mixed.

Remove the fuel tank cap slowly to release the
pressure.

Fill the fuel tank.
Caution! Make sure that there is not too much fuel in
the fuel tank. The fuel expands when it becomes hot.

Tighten the fuel tank cap carefully.

Clean fuel spillage on and around the product.

Move the product 3 m or more away from the
refuelling area and fuel source before you start the
engine.

4.4 To start the product

Warning! : Read the warning instructions in the safety
chapter before you start the product. Refer to "2 Safety" on
page 35.

Push the air purge bulb (A) 7 times until fuel starts to
fill the bulb. (Figure 11)

Set the power switch (A) to the ON position.

Move the choke lever (B) to the choke position.

Hold the body of the product on the ground with your
left hand.

Hold the starter rope handle with your right hand.

Slowly pull out the starter rope with your right hand
until you feel some resistance.

Reset the choke.

Pull the cord quickly and with force until the engine
starts.

Press the start inhibitor and throttle control.
Note! The choke lever automatically returns to choke
position when you press the throttle control.

Use the throttle control to adjust the engine speed.
Note! To extend the trimmer line when you use the trimmer
head, hit the line feed mechanism on the ground before you
cut the grass. (Figure 13)

4.5 To stop the product

Release the throttle lock and the throttle control to
stop the rotation of the cutting attachment.

Set the power switch OFF position to stop the engine.
