Battery

Battery
Funktel GmbH does not assume any liability for damage resulting from improper use of
the battery.
Safety notes for using the battery:
To recharge the battery, place the radio handset in a system-compliant charger. Al-
ternatively, use a separate individual charger from the Funktel accessory range to
charge an individual battery.
Do not throw the battery into the fire as it might explode.
Avoid any form of short circuit between the contacts of the battery. If the contacts
are short circuited, the battery discharges. In very rare instances, a short-circuited
battery may explode or cause a fire.
Unusual or pungent smells as well as unusual deposits on the radio handset or bat-
tery indicate a leaking battery. Switch off the radio handset and hand it over to the
service department.
Liquids or gases may escape from batteries that have developed leaks. Avoid direct
skin contact with liquids that have escaped. Do not inhale the gases that escape.
Adverse effects on health, such as skin irritation, chemical burns or poisoning may
result. In case of doubt, consult a doctor!
Notes regarding the storage and shipping of the battery:
Store or transport the radio handset and the battery in suitable, non-conductive
packaging. Use the original packaging if possible.
When stored for an extended period, the battery must be recharged every 3 to 6
months. During long-term storage, the storage temperature of the battery should re-
main below normal room temperature.
Batteries are wearing parts. Over time, the battery of your radio handset loses its origi-
nal efficiency/capacity due to use, long storage and ageing. Such capacity losses are
normal and will not give rise to a warranty claim.
