Maintenance

Recommandations
If the unit is stopped for long periods of time, the fan motors should
be run for at least two hours each week.
A periodic visual check of the following is recommended:
1. Blocking and frosting of the coil,
2. Fan operation,
3. Position of axial fans in their collar,
4. Possible movement of heaters,
5. State of each axial fan (tightness to shaft, mechanical state of
blades etc),
6. Water drain (U-bend).
No manipulation on the fan units, or drain pans should be done
without an exclusion zone on the ground, to avoid the presence of
personel.
It is important to ensure that the hinge mechanisms are operational
before all manipulations.
In general, at the opening of the movable panels it is necessary to
accompany them or slow their opening speed to avoid casing
deformations

Troubleshooting

Examples of faults.
Fault
Evaporation Pressure
too low
Probable cause
Insufficient flow air flow
Insufficient liquid in installation
Superheat too great
Thermostatic expansion valve:
Work above MOP point.
Pressure regulator not connected
Cleaning
The coils should preferably be cleaned:
1. With compressed air
2. By brushing with non-metallic materials
3. With clean water spray (3 bars maximum at a distance of 1.5m).
4. Avoid spraying motors with water. The electrical supply will have
to be switched off during this operation.
Avoid all aggressive detergents which may cause eventual corro-
sion.
Fan motors change
This operation can only be undertaken once the electrical supply
has been switched off (consignation).
The access flaps can only be opened when this is the case.
If a fan motor needs to be changed, care should be taken to unplug
all purge holes during reinstallation to enable the condensation
to escape.
Heater element change
When a faulty heater element is found, it must be replaced as soon
as possible.
If the star point is not connected, there is a risk of a knock-on effect
in which the other heaters will also break down.
This operation can only be undertaken once the electrical supply
has been switched off (consignation).
Remove the defective heater and clip in the new heater.
Actions required
Coil iced up
Add remainder of charge
Check and adjust the expansion valve
Change or adjust expansion valve
