5.3. Mounting on DIN studs
The LX SCOUT can be attached to all common stands thanks to its mount for a
DIN 14640 stud� (Figure G)�
5.4. Using the rubber band
If the LX SCOUT is hung on a narrow object, for example, the rung of a ladder or a
pipe, it can also be attached with the rubber band to prevent it from falling�
On its own, the rubber band cannot support the weight of the LX SCOUT; it simply
provides additional security� (Figure H)�
5.5. Hammering the spike into a vertical surface
The spike is designed to be hammered into dry walls; it is not suitable for any other
type of material� Make sure that you do not damage any live wires� Turn the spike
to the fully extended and locked position� Hammer the spike into the dry wall�
(Figure J)� Press the release button on the spike to fold it in�
6. MAINTENANCE AND CARE
Carry out a visual inspection regularly after each use or at least once a year�
The spotlight is maintenance free and does not contain any parts that require
replacing or maintenance�
6.1. Visual inspection
No deformations on the frame
All moving parts move freely
All parts of the spotlight are present
The lens is not scratched or cracked
The battery contacts are not corroded and the battery is easy to plug in
The units are not soiled, the cooling fins are clean
6.2. Care instructions
If the device becomes soiled, clean it carefully with a soft, dry cloth to avoid dam-
aging it� Do not use any cleaning agents or solvents� If you still have any questions
about care or maintenance, please contact your authorized dealer or LUKAS
