6.8 ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
1
Before making any electrical connection, verify the compatibility between the power sup-
ply and the technical features of the controller and/or of the other accessories to be con-
2
nected to the controller. These features are indicated in the identification plate, situated on
one side of the cassette units.
3
In the power supply system of the cassette fancoil, a double-pole switch must be
foreseen with a distance of min. 3 mm between the two poles.
4
For a correct management and use of the cassette fan coil, the use of an EURAPO micro-
processor control or OMNIBUS control is suggested. The control has to be chosen accord-
ing to the requirements of the installation.
5
In the standard configurations (for example QEC00, see Enclosure 6/A and 6/B) it
is not possible to connect more than one motor in parallel to the same controller.
For this application, the use of a proper accessory and the relevant electric wiring
6
diagram is recommended.
The electrical components are located in a metal box (Enclosure 1/E) accessible by remov-
7
ing 4 screws. The standard electric box (QEC00) contains:
screw terminal board for the electrical connections;
8
specific electric wiring diagram for the ordered unit with its relevant accessories;
ground protection terminal marked with the symbol
ground protection system cable (yellow/green);
9
autotransformer;
capacitor.
10
For connecting the cassette fan coil unit to the electric system, operate as follows:
1.
Insert the wires (factory pre-wired cable) through the slots of the control box (En-
+
closure 1/E) and make the electrical connections accordingly to the electric wiring
diagram located in the control box and to the diagram of the controller itself;
2.
Fix the wires by using proper threaded cable retainers or clamps. Keep the power sup-
ply cables (230 V~) separate from the low voltage cables (bus cables, NTC sensors
etc.);
3.
Fix back the cover box to the base with the screws;
4.
Make sure that the installation is done in such a way that it doesn't damage the com-
ponents and it cannot be of danger to persons, objects or animals.
