Use as a webcam
The mini PIR camera can be used as a webcam on a computer (minimum
Windows XP or later is required).
To do this, proceed as follows:
• Connect the mini PIR camera via the USB cable enclosed to a USB port
on your computer. The computer recognises the mini PIR camera and
the memory card slot is recognised as card reader.
• Briefly press the "Power" button (3), to turn on the webcam feature of
the mini PIR camera.
• Upon first use, Windows detects the new hardware and completes the
driver installation.
• The mini PIR camera now operates as a webcam.
• To change back to the card reader mode, just press the "Power" button
(3) briefly.
Reset
Via a the small recessed "Reset" button (5), the mini PIR camera can be
reset (e.g. malfunction of the electronic).
Use a the point of a toothpick to press the button carefully, do not use
force!
Tips and notes
• Before inserting or removing a memory card, always first turn off the
mini PIR camera. Otherwise, there may be a loss of data.
There is also a risk of damage to the memory card's file system. In
which case the memory card needs to be formatted. This must be done
in Windows because the mini PIR camera does not have a formatting
function.
• If the mini PIR camera is to be used as a webcam, make sure you se-
lect the correct microphone for sound recording in the Windows audio
properties.
Maintenance and cleaning
The product does not require any maintenance and should never be
disassembled for any reason. There are no serviceable parts inside. The
rechargeable battery is permanently installed and cannot be replaced.
Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product. Clean the surface of the
mini PIR camera carefully, do not press too strongly on the lens or the
PIR sensor.
Dust can easily be removed using a clean, soft brush.
Never use abrasive cleaning agents, cleaning alcohol or other chemical
solutions, since these could damage the housing or even impair opera-
tion.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable materials and do not belong
in the household waste. Dispose of an unserviceable product in
accordance with the relevant statutory regulations.
