PIR sensor function
The PIR sensor (2) integrated in the mini PIR camera responds to temper-
ature changes within the detection range, e.g., if a person or an animal
with a temperature differing from the background enters the detection
range.
The range of detecting motion is determined by several factors:
• Installation location of the mini PIR cam-
era
• Temperature difference between the
moving object and the background (am-
bient)
• The size of the object
• The distance of the object from the mini
PIR camera
• The direction and speed of movement
• Ambient temperature
The detection angle of the PIR sensor
is conical, the aperture angle is 90°.
The range is up to 8 m under optimal
conditions.
