OPERATION
WARNING! Do not exceed the carrier's maximum load capacity of 500 lb.
WARNING! All persons not involved in loading/unloading should stand clear of the carrier.
1. With the carrier fastened to vehicle hitch, lower ramp (#17) to the ground. Do this by removing the presto
pins (#12) from the pins (#13), which allows the ramp to pivot freely.
CAUTION! Ensure both ramp ends rest flat on a solid, level sur face during loading/unloading.
2. With assistance, push the wheel chair/scooter up the ramp and onto the carrier bed. Ensure the load is
centered on the carrier.
3. Secure load in place using appropriate tie-downs or ropes (not included).
4. Once load is secure, swing ramp into upright position. Lock ramp in place using presto pins and pins as
shown in Fig. 3. The load is now ready to be transported.
5. After unloading the carrier, ensure the ramp is locked in its upright position.

MAINTENANCE
WARNING! Remove any load from the unit before performing any maintenance.
CAUTION! Do not use damaged equipment. If abnormal noise or vibration occurs, have the problem corrected
before further use.
1. Before each use, inspect the general condition of the carrier. Check for misalignment, loose or dam aged
parts and any other condition that may affect its safe operation.
2. Before each use, make sure any dirt, debris, oil, grease, etc. are cleaned off the carrier. Wipe the carrier with
a clean, moist cloth. Do not use solvents.
3. Periodically, check all hardware for tightness.
CAUTION! Only qualified service personnel should repair the carrier.
