SPECIFIC SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
1. This carrier has a maximum load capacity of 500 lb. Do not exceed the capac ity. Be aware of dynamic
loading: a sudden load movement may exceed the capacity briefly, causing product failure.
2. Do not exceed 88 km/h (55 miles/h) with the car rier attached.
3. Secure the carrier as close to your vehicle as possible in order to minimiz e the distance between the load
and your vehicle.
4. Centre load on carrier.
5. Inspect before use; do not use if parts are damaged or broken. Check all bolts and nuts in the carrier. Do not
use if damaged.
6. Turn off the vehicle and set the parking brake before loading or unloading the carrier.
7. Do not ride on wheelchair or scooter while loading/unloading it.
8. Be sure to read and understand all instructions and warnings set forth by the manufacturer of the vehicle
that the carrier will be attached to.
9. Prior to transporting a load, make sure the ramp (#17) of the carrier is in its upright position and locked in
place with the pin (#13) and presto pin (#12).
10. Both of the ramp ends must rest flat on a solid, level, and flat surface when loading/unloading.
11. Follow Transport Canada or local ministry of transportation guidelines for your region.
12. Ensure the load is secure on the carrier before transporting.
13. Only use the carrier with a properly installed Class III or IV 2 in. hitch receiver capable of supporting the
carrier and its load.
14. Maintain labels and nameplates on the carrier. These carry important safety information. If unreadable or
missing, contact Princess Auto for a replacement.
UNPACKING
1. Carefully remove the parts and accessories from the box. Retain packaging material until you have carefully
inspected and satisfactorily installed or operated the carrier.
2. Make sure that all items in the parts list are included.
3. Inspect the parts carefully to make they were not damaged while shipping.
WARNING! Do not use the carrier if any part is missing. Replace the missing part before operating. Failure to do
so could result in a malfunction and serious personal injury.
