Before all work on the machine, it must
first be disconnected from the power sup-
ply.
Only a qualified person familiar with the safety regulations
may start up the machine.
Always conduct test runs without workpieces.
Check the sense of rotation before starting the machine.
The operator must make sure that the components are
integrated and operate safely in the machine.
Only a qualified person may connect the electrical power
supplies in accordance with the local regulations.
The local grounding regulations must be observed and
implemented, and this implementation inspected.
Do not start the machine until the spindle has come to a
stop.
Use only suitable tools, and never modify tools for an ap-
plication they have not been designed for.
After transport, all electrical and mechanical connections
must be examined for damage and loosening, and any
remedial measures taken.
The machine's working area must be unobstructed and
secured against unauthorized access.
When internal cooling is used, please observe the instal-
lation instructions issued by the manufacturers of the at-
tachment and rotating union.
The motor's and spindle's sense of rotation may be
checked only when there is no tension in the belt. Cor-
recting a wrong sense of rotation involves swapping over
any two of the phase conductors.
The motor cable's shielding must be connected to the
motor housing over a large area at the terminal board.

Insert the collet chuck into the clamping nut until the pull-
out knob snaps into the groove of the chuck. Screw the
clamping nut together with the collet chuck onto the drive
spindle. Insert the tool into the chuck and tighten down
the clamping nut to a maximum torque of 12 Nm.

4.2.1 m
No reaction to the start signal: Check for correct function-
ing of inductive sensors.
4.2.2 r
Rapid travel functions only sluggishly, for not at all: Check
air compression value (5-7bars). Check air line for kinks.
Rapid travel functioning, but not followed by drilling travel:
Check adjustment of braking cylinder.
