after every 150 autoclavings. Refer to the tally chart in the instrument case.
•
Use live steam autoclave only. If available, gas autoclaving is preferable. Temperatures
should not exceed 250°F (121°C), and time should not run over 30 minutes.
•
This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed
and used in accordance with the instruction manual, may cause harmful interference.
Safety Precaution: Used blades should always be disposed of in proper safety containers.
•
•
Unit disposal (if necessary): Follow your facility's disposal protocols.
DO NOT autoclave the power pack or the power cord.
•
•
Never immerse instrument, even to cool. This will result in the unit being damaged and
needing repair.
•
Use only Padgett blades of the correct size.
Use ONLY with Padgett Dermatome Blades.
WARNING: Do not reuse blades. Blades are designed as single-use, disposable products
and should not be re-sterilized. Re-sterilization and subsequent reuse will dull the blades
and may result in cross contamination or impaired function of the product. Sharpness of
the blades is not guaranteed with repeated use. Any blade, once used, should be discarded
according to hospital policy.
