Wrap as indicated and/or required.
Place in sterilizer which has been either pre-heated (by running empty through a short 10 minute run
at normal steam pressure) or has just been unloaded from a previous sterilizing load.
Sterilize at 15 lbs. (6.80 kg), 250°F (121°C), for 30 minutes ONLY. Watch time carefully. Do not leave in
for more than 30 minutes.
At the end of drying cycle, de-pressurize sterilizer immediately and open door minimally (just a small
crack is best).
Leave this instrument pack in partially opened sterilizer for at least 15 minutes. Do not remove until
instrument is cool to the touch. This is very important!
Place on a towel or open rack, but do not place upon any hard, cold surface that can trap and
condense moisture on the bottom surface of the pack.
DO NOT DRY-HEAT STERILIZE.
If available, gas autoclaving is preferable
NEVER IMMERSE INSTRUMENT, EVEN TO COOL. THIS WILL RESULT IN THE UNIT BEING DAMAGED
AND NEEDING REPAIR.
