7.3 Adjusting the injection volume regulator
-NOTE-
The injection volume setting depends on temperature,
type of adhesive mortar used etc.

value.

7.4 Preparing the tool for use
1. Press the trigger.
-NOTE-
The first approx. 45 cm
depends on the type of mortar) dispensed from the mix-
ing nozzle is not suitable for making fastenings and must
be disposed of. Please refer to the instructions on the foil
pack concerning the initial volume of mortar to be dis-
carded.
7.5 Injecting the adhesive mortar
-NOTE-
The adhesive mortar may be used only within the spec-
ified temperature range.
The necessary quantity of adhesive mortar must be
injected into the hole without air being trapped.
1. Push the mixing nozzle into the hole until its tip is at
the base of the hole (it may be necessary to use an
extension nozzle for deep holes).

8. Care and maintenance

-CAUTION-
Disconnect the tool from the compressed air supply
before cleaning and maintenance.
8.1 Care of the electric tool
The outer casing of the tool is made from impact-resis-
tant plastic. Clean the outside of the tool at regular intervals
using a slightly damp cloth. Do not use a spray, steam
pressure cleaning equipment or running water for cleaning.

9. Disposal

Most of the materials from which Hilti tools are manufactured can be recycled. The materials must be correctly
separated before they can be recycled. In many countries, Hilti has already made arrangements for taking back
your old tools for recycling. Please ask your Hilti customer service department or Hilti representative for further
information.
Should you wish to return the tool yourself to a disposal facility for recycling, proceed as follows:

2. Press the trigger and slowly withdraw the nozzle as
the adhesive mortar is injected.
-CAUTION-
Failure to observe these instructions could negatively
affect the loadbearing capacity of the fastening.
7.6 Piston return function
-CAUTION-
Keep the hands away from the area of the pressure pis-
ton.
1. Press the piston return button.
7.7 Removing the foil packs
-CAUTION-
Keep the hands away from the area of the pressure
piston.
Partly-used foil packs which are to be used again later
must be stored in the foil pack holder in the tool.
1.Press the piston return button until the piston is in the
rearmost position.
2.Rotate the foil pack holder through 45°, within the
holder chamber, in two stages.
3.Pull the foil pack holder out of the holder chamber to
the side.
4.Pull the foil pack out of the holder to the front.
8.2 Maintenance
Check all external parts of the tool for damage at regular
intervals and check that all controls operate faultlessly.
Do not operate the tool if parts are damaged or when the
controls do not function faultlessly. If necessary, your
electric tool should be repaired at a Hilti repair center.
