CLEANING
Never use a pressure washer to clean the power wheelbarrow. Water can
penetrate tight areas of the machine or its gearbox case and cause damage to
spindles, gears, bearings or the engine. This can shorten the equipment's
operational life and reduce serviceability.
Do not use strong detergents or petroleum based cleaners when cleaning
plastic parts. Chemicals can damage plastics.
LUBRICATION
Inspect and lubricate the tool when required. Use a premium quality lithium
machine oil to lubricate the tool. Other lubricants may not be suitable and could
damage the tool or cause a malfunction during use.
GEARBOX
The gearbox is pre-lubricated and sealed at the factory. Replace the gearbox oil
after every 50 hours of use.
1.
Position the equipment on a slight slope so the drain plug is lower than the
rest of the gearbox.
2.
Run the equipment briefly to mix and warm the gearbox oil.
3.
Place a receptacle below the opening to catch the waste oil.
4.
Remove the gearbox's oil filler plug (Fig. 7-2), then the drain plug (Fig. 7-
1) to drain the oil.
5.
Examine the oil for metal chips to determine if the gearbox may need
further maintenance.
6.
Reinsert the gearbox's drain plug.
7.
Fill the gearbox with 1.5 litres of EP gear oil
through the filler opening. Use an API GL-5,
GL-6 or SAE 85-95 lubricant.
8.
Reinsert the filler plug. Clean up any spilled oil.
9.
Run the engine for several minutes and check
for leaks before using the equipment.
