All Other Applications
For all other applications, you will need to connect ex-
posed wires (7 & 8) as described by the installation in-
structions provided in the rudder angle display gauge
kit. When attaching the wire to the rudder angle sensor,
the two wires 6 must have ring terminals. Continue be-
low for directions on attaching the ring terminals to the
rudder angle sensor.
Connecting Cables to Sensor
For both EVC and non-EVC applications, extend cables
(9 & 10) and connect as shown using the supplied
washers and nuts:
1. Red/green cable 9 is connected to terminal
marked "G" 11.
2. Solid black cable 10 is connected to terminal
marked "–" (minus) 12.
Adjusting Sensor
1. Set the rudder fore-and-aft.
2. Reconnect positive battery cable(s) and turn on
the main circuit breaker. If necessary, turn ignition
switch to key on, engine off.
3. Adjust the sensor position by turning it so that the
rudder angle display gauge shows the rudder fore-
and-aft.
4. Tighten the screws in the sensor.
5. Perform additional checks by turning the steering
wheel to full extension to starboard and port.
6. Affix the CE decal D to the rudder angle sensor.
