INTENDED USE
This product is used for monitoring the concentration of carbon dioxide (CO2) in ambient air
with the precise and long-term stable NDIR measurement method (non-dispersive infrared
absorption measurement). The product also measures temperature and humidity. The readings,
as well as the time and date, are shown on the display. Additionally, CO2 alarm thresholds can
be set to trigger an alarm signal if they are exceeded. Power is supplied via a standard mains
socket (100 – 240 V/AC, 50/60 Hz). The product should only be used in dry indoor areas.

For safety and approval purposes (CE), you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you
use the product for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged.
In addition, improper use can cause hazards such as short circuiting, fire, electric shock etc.
Read the instructions carefully and keep them. Make this product available to third parties only
together with its operating instructions.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety
information. If you do not follow the safety instructions and information
on proper handling in this manual, we assume no liability for any resulting
personal injury or damage to property. Such cases will invalidate the warranty/
guarantee.
a) Persons / Product
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These may become
dangerous playing material for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high
humidity, moisture, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and
protect it from any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if
the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height
can damage the product.
• Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices which are
connected to the product.
• Carbon dioxide is a transparent and inodorous gas. Pay attention to your own
safety and self-protection during all measurings. To protect the life of humans and
animals, this device may not be used in areas where highly-concentrated carbon
dioxide is applied industrially.
• In schools, training centres, computer and self-help workshops, handling of
measuring devices must be supervised by trained personnel in a responsible
manner.
• Do not switch the measuring instrument on immediately after it has been taken
from a cold to a warm environment. The condensation that forms might destroy
your device. Allow the device to reach room temperature before switching it on.
• The measuring instrument may not be operated in explosive areas or areas with
industrial use of highly concentrated carbon dioxide.
• Never touch the power adapter with wet or damp hands. There is risk of fatal
electric shock.
• Do not pull the mains plug from the socket by pulling on the cable. Always touch the
power adapter on the casing.
b) Miscellaneous
• Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of the
device.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs are to be performed exclusively by an
expert or at a qualified shop.

OPERATION
a) Setup / mounting
• Position the product in such a way that sufficient ambient indoor air flows through the device.
The air flow to be measured passes through the product from the back.
• Avoid tight spaces such as between books etc., so that the measurement result is not
compromised.
• The device can be easily hung up on a screw, nail or wall hook using the suspension eye (8)
on the back. The mounting material (1 x screw, 1 x dowel) is included in delivery.
• Also ensure that the product cannot accidentally fall down.
• Choose a location where a mains outlet is available nearby.
b) Connecting power adapter
1. Connect the power adapter's low voltage plug with the socket (7) on the right-hand side of
the product.
2. Connect the mains plug to a standard mains socket. The LED (6) lights up. The display will
briefly show all indicators, followed by a countdown from "120" to "1". The product requires a
warm-up phase lasting 120 seconds until the readings are shown on the display.
3. Proceed in reverse order to disconnect the product from the power supply.
c) Setting date and time
1. Press and hold the button CLOCK (9) for approx. three seconds. The day starts flashing.
2. Set the day using the ▲(2) and ▼(3) buttons.
3. Press the button CLOCK to confirm. The month starts flashing.
4. Proceed as described above to set the month, year, hours and minutes.
5. Finally, press the button ESC (5) to exit the settings and return to the normal display mode.
