General Instructions
No modifications or alterations can be made to the product without authorisation from the manufacturer, in the
event of this, the guarantee will be invalidated.
National standards and safety regulations must be observed.
Safety instructions
Any person who is involved in the using, servicing or repair of the fork lift crane hook is required to have fa-
miliarized him/herself with the contents of the instructions for use.
These instructions for use do not absolve the operator from the duty to issue special operating instructions.
The fork lift crane hook is only to be used in compliance with the regulations. Here we refer also to the BGR
500 Chapter 2 (load suspension devices in lifting appliance operatiom) and the accident prevention regula-
tions for "industrial trucks"BGVD 27.
The TRbF (technical regulations for combustible liquids) 60 (wheeled containers) are to be applied. Accord-
ing to ex-zone suitable protective measures are to be taken.
Use and intended purpose
The fork-lift hook is fixed to the forks of a fork-lift truck. The fork-lift hook is a carabiner hook and by fastening
a drum pincer for example to it, drums can be moved around safely. Fork-lift hooks are available for
mounting on one fork of a fork-lift truck or on both forks.
Assembly
Push forklift crane hooks as far as possible over the prongs of the truck and lock in position on the prongs by
means of adjusting screws.
Specifications
Safe working load: 2000 kg
Operation
Independently of the bearing capacity of the forklift crane hook, account must be taken of the bearing
capacity of the forklift truck (with Type EZ the bearing capacity of one fork) when lifting a load.
Only vertical lift permitted, no diagonal lifting.
Only transport raised loads at walking speed
Take the greatest care when moving over uneven ground!
Do not walk under suspended loads!
Maintenance and servicing
Check moving parts for ease of movement and if necessary lubricate with commercially-available
grease.
Check screw connections
Regular tests to be carried out at intervals of at the longest one year by a qualified person.
In the event of damage and particular incidents that could influence the carrying capacity and after re-
pairs an extraordinary testing by a qualified person is to be carried out.
Before a sight and function check under some circumstances prior cleaning of the handling system may
be necessary. That applies particularly if they are contaminated with materials e.g. dyes and salts from a
previous use.
The test regime for a sight and function test includes fissures, deformities, cracks, damage, wear, corro-
sion damage and function faults of the handling system.
As proof that the tests have been carried out, a test list is to be compiled and kept by the operator.
With visible deformities, obvious damage, heavy wear of the screws and screw guides the handling sys-
tem must not be used until repaired.
