GETTING STARTED
1. Remove speakers, power cable and the speaker cables from the carton.
2. Detach the modules by pressing and sliding the button on the top of the speakers, you will release the module from the
speaker. All that is required is a little lift on the module once the button is pressed.
Connect the Mixer Module to the Speakers
On the rear side of the mixer you will notice two 6.35mm jacks – these are your speaker output jacks.
Connect the speaker cables from these jacks to the jacks on the rear panel of the speakers.
Connect the AC Power Cable
Connect one end to the power IN socket on the rear panel of the mixer and plug the other end into an appropriate wall
socket or extension cord. Turn down the "MASTER VOLUME" control.
Now set the power switch on the rear panel to the "ON" position. The "POWER" indicator on the front panel will light up.
Now you are ready to connect an audio source and listen to the sound.
CONNECTION OF A MICROPHONE:
a. Turn down the "MASTER VOLUME".
b. Connect the microphone to the microphone cable and insert the male end into a MIC socket.
c. Turn down the "TREBLE" and the "BASS" controls
d. Turn down the "REVERB" control.
e. While talking loudly into the microphone bring up the channel volume until the desired level.
f. Slowly bring up the "MASTER VOLUME" to the desired loudness.
CONNECTION OF A PERSONAL MUSIC PLAYER TO THE 5/6 STEREO INPUT:
a. Turn down the "MASTER VOLUME" control.
b. Connect the output of the player to the "5/6" input of the mixer via a 3.5 mm stereo Jack.
c. If your player is fitted with an output gain or volume control, set that control to "7". Increase the value until you have
reached a sufficient level to drive the COMBO208-VHF
d. Increase the MASTER VOLUME gradually until you have reached the desired volume.
STEREO INPUTS
The COMBO208-VHF has two stereo inputs that are used for MP3 or CD players. They are also suitable for electronic
keyboards, instrument pre-amps or processors, or electronic drum machines. The input labelled "CH3/4" has a volume
control and accept ¼" phone or RCA plugs. The input labelled "CH5/6" is a 3.5 mm stereo input as found on personal music
players. It's volume is controlled by the knob (5)
USB/SD PLAYER
The COMBO208-VHF features a USB/SD player that accepts MP3 and WMA files.
To use this player, insert a USB stick or an SD card (max. capacity 8Gb) into the port.
The play starts automatically.
To pause play, press the PLAY/PAUSE button.
