3.4.2 CHECKING THE BATTERY
Check the battery charge level according to the user's manual of the battery.
3.4.3 FILLING THE FUEL TANK WITH FUEL
For safety reasons the riding mower is transported without fuel and before the first start up it is necessary
to fill it up. The fuel tank is located at the front side of the mower and has a capacity of 19 l of fuel.
Use only petrol with the octane number specified in the user's manual of the engine, i.e.
lead-free petrol NATURAL 95. Defects caused by the use of incorrect fuel are not covered
by the warranty!
Only fill the fuel tank with the engine turned off and when the engine is cold. Fill up the fuel
tank in a well ventilated location.
When handling fuel, do not eat, smoke or use an open flame.
For filling, use a funnel designed for refilling fuel.
Ensure that fuel is not spilled when refilling. Spilled fuel can very easily catch on fire. If fuel
does spill, thoroughly wipe dry.
Store fuels out of the reach of children.
Procedure for filling up:
} Open the fuel tank lid. Open it slowly because there may be overpressure in the fuel tank caused by
petrol vapours.
} Insert a funnel into the fuel tank bottleneck and start to pour the fuel from the canister.
} After filling up the fuel tank always wipe dry the area around the fuel tank bottleneck as well as the
fuel tank bottleneck itself. It is good to check the condition of the fuel lines.
} It is recommended to regularly also clean out the actual fuel tank because impurities found in the fuel
may cause an engine malfunction.
3.4.4 CHECKING THE AIR PRESSURE IN THE TYRES
Before putting the mower into operation, check the air pressure in the tyres.
Tyre pressure differs according to the type used. The correct tyre pressure is always provided on the
tyres.
Do not exceed the maximum pressure marked on the tyres that are being used.
3.4.5 CHECKING THE OIL LEVEL IN THE HYDRAULIC CIRCUIT
(APPLIES FOR MODEL 92 EVO 4X4)
The mower is supplied with a bled hydraulic circuit and with an equalisation tank with the prescribed
amount of oil. The oil level in the tank may decline during transport.
The equalisation tank is located in the rear part of the mower under the engine cover.
} Check that the oil level is between the two marks on the measure of the closing lid, if necessary fill up
with the necessary amount of the prescribed oil.
} Wipe clean the area around the tank bottleneck and the tank bottleneck itself. Also regularly clean
the entire tank, because any dirt in the oil reduces the lifespan of the oil filter and may possibly cause
a malfunction.
The system is fully bled during the first couple of hours of driving the mower – we recommend that you
"run the mower in" under a mild load for 1 to 2 hours.
3.4.6 PERFORMING A LEAK TEST ON THE HYDRAULIC CIRCUIT
Visually check the hydraulic circuit for oil leaks, namely the locations where fittings are connected to the
transmissions. If you discover any leaks, inform your service centre.
