manuals do not always mean that your vehicle is allowed
to tow a trailer or caravan.
Always consult your vehicle documentation to check what the towing capacity
of your vehicle is and what the maximum tolerated vertical load on the tow bar
of your vehicle is. In addition, the manual of the respective tow bar or bike
carrier solution will inform you what the maximum vertical load is and, if
applicable, what the D-value is for vehicles that are allowed to tow.
