6.6 OVERLOAD MESSAGE

Please do not add item that is over the maximum capacity. When reading "—OL—" and hear beeping sound,
remove the item on the platter to avoid damage to the load cell.

6.7 COUNTING PIECES

Through the reference function it's possible to use the scale as a piece counter.

6.7.1 COUNTING PROCEDURE

The operations to be carried out are the following:
1)
Place the empty container on the selected scale (see section 6.2) and press TARE to tare it.
2)
Check that the zero is on the display and put the quantity of pieces chosen for the SAMPLE on the scale
3) With the keyboard type the number of pieces on the scale.
4)
Press SMPL; the displays will indicate SAMPL and the indicator will calculate the Average Piece Weight (APW).
After a few instants the "COUNT" display will indicate the quantity selected put on the platform.
5)
Add the rest of the items to count in the container and whose value will appear on the "COUNT" display.
6)
Unload the scale; the APW will remain stored in memory for the next counting of similar pieces, without having to
repeat the REFERENCE operation.
7) By pressing the LOCAL / REMOTE key the A.P.W. remains stored and allows counting the pieces on the
selected scale.
8) To cancel the reference, press the CE key.
9) To execute a new reference operation repeat the operations as described from point 1).

6.7.2 ENTRY OF THE KNOWN AVERAGE PIECE WEIGHT

To enter the known average piece weight type the value with the keyboard (including the decimal point) and press
U.WT/UNITS.
The "UNIT WEIGHT" display indicates the entered average piece weight while the "COUNT" display shows the
number of pieces on the scale.
The operation can be made with a loaded or unloaded platform.
In any case, the entry of a new average piece weight cancels and substitutes the previous one.

6.7.3 OPTIMISATION OF THE APW

After having carried out the REFERENCE operations (section 6.7.1), if one adds to the reference quantity another
amount of pieces as long as it is on the scale and greater than one, the instrument automatically updates the
A.P.W.
To lock the unit weight and prevent Auto-update, press U.Wt after REFERENCE operations (section 6.7.1).

6.8 TOTALISATION OF THE WEIGHT AND PIECES

The scale can be set to accumulate manually the weight and the number of pieces on the scale by pressing the M+
key (see section 7.3).
The displayed values will be stored in memory when the M+ key is pressed and the weight is stable.
When a totalisation is made, the "UNIT WEIGHT" display will show "- 01-", the "WEIGHT" display will show the
accumulated total net weight and the "COUNT" display will show the accumulated total number of pieces. After 2
seconds the displays return to the normal viewing.
Remove the weight, allowing the scale to return to zero and put a second weight on. Press M+; the "UNIT WEIGHT"
display will show "- 1-", the "WEIGHT" display will show the new total net weight and the "COUNT" display will shows
the new total number of pieces.
Continue until all weights or pieces have been added.
To view and print the total weight or the total number of pieces in memory press M+ key when current scale in zero
status (Zero indicator on). To clear the accumulated total weight, press the CE key when show total values.
