6.3 ASSEMBLY

FITTING THE POST
1) Remove the left-hand side panel by undoing the 4 fixing screws.
2) Remove the panel from the vertical post by simply pulling it outward.
3) Unpack the filter/lubricator (8, Fig. C) which is taped to the rod (12, Fig.
C) of the cylinder, taking care to keep it vertical so that no oil spills out.
4) Place the post (10, Fig. C) on the body, inserting the plastic hose (11,
Fig. C) through the opening provided, then fully tighten the 4 screws (4, Fig.
C) after fitting the washers (5, Fig. C).
5) Check that the rod of the cylinder (12, Fig. C) fits into the bracket (6, Fig. C).
6) Remove one of the 2 snap rings from the pin (7, Fig. C) then fit the pin
into the bracket and through the hole in the rod of the cylinder from behind.
7) Secure the pin (7, Fig. C) using the snap ring (1, Fig. C) removed earlier.
8) Connect the plastic hose (11, Fig. D) to the union (3, Fig. D), pushing
the hose right down onto the union, then tighten the nut (2, Fig. D) (do not
over-tighten to avoid crushing the hose to the point where it disintegrates).
9) Fix the filter/lubricator (8, Fig. C) by fitting the supporting bracket between
the screws (9, Fig. C) and tightening them.
10) Close the left-hand side of the body and replace the panel in the verti-
cal post.
FITTING THE BEAD BREAKER ARM:
1) Fit the washer (13, Fig. E1) on the bead breaker arm support (see Fig. E1).
2) Fit the cylinder rod (17, Fig. E2) into the slot provided on the bead breaker
arm (14, Fig. E2).
