1 INSTALLATION
A Configuration
1. The amplifier comes with the following configurations 1a,2a,3a,4a (Fig : 3 & 4).
2. Option :Input 1 overrides Input 2
Select configuration 1b & 2b, (Fig : 4).
· Plug in socket PL1 the override relay (24v -Code K0343).
· Incoming Remote control is available on Input one,
· Outgoing remote control is available on coupling socket in order to control other equipment
simultaneously and to display, when required, priority status.
3. Option :Input transformer (fig : 5) .
Each input can be balanced by adding an input transformer referenced T1204:
· Remove Resistances (Ro),
· Mount and connect transformer as per (Fig : 5).
4. 24V DC power supply.
A 24V DC-200 mA power supply, provided to power all equipments with relays ( ATG4,ATR4,
CRG8,CRD8 ) is permanently available on "Coupling" socket.
ATTENTION : the consumed current should not exceed 200 mA (limited by Fuse F2) (Fig : 3) .
Another 24V DC, provided to power equipments involved with audio signal (Microphone paging desk,
ITP6,MPP,PMG5,MVG), can be made available on both inputs (1&2), by setting up configuration 4b (Fig : 4).
5. Low pass filter .
A low pass filter (-3dB at 15kHz) -J28- (Fig : 3), can be obtained through configuration 3b (Fig : 4).
6. Coupling socket.
The coupling socket allows for audio signals exchange with other products. It includes also a 24V-DC output to
power relays and an outgoing remote control for further controls.
Don't use pin 1 & 3 simultaneously.
B Turn on
· Select configurations as per above according to your request.
· For safety reason, keep cover and bottom when amplifier is used outside rack.
· The position in the rack must allow for natural ventilation in the vertical direction .Don't hide ventilation
openings provided on top and bottom covers. In case many amplifiers are superposed or in case of high
ambient temperature, use forced ventilation ( fan units).The best position for fan unit is in between . Bad
ventilation shall deteriorate the characteristics of the amplifier, before leading to thermal cut off.
· Before installing the amplifier in a rack, please remove top &bottom covers. Use fixation brackets
EQ8722&EQ8723(2U) and EQ EQ8721(3U).
· 24V DC power supply consumption must not exceed 200mA,
· Before connecting speakers line(s), check line impedance for a good impedance matching between line(s)
