Application assembly (only series DOMINO)

Series DOMINO is supplied without mowing machine and is preset for the application of different types of devices (see
Applications chapter). The applications are supplied separately from the machine. The application pack contains the
specific compulsory protections and the assembly instructions.
WARNING: all the protections provided for the use of the application must be correctly assembled to ensure
that the operator is protected in the driving position. Never use the machine if the protections are not correctly
installed and in good state.

Refuelling

For the type of fuel and the position of any cock, refer to the engine constructor's instructions, shown in the engine
operating and maintenance manual.
Warning: the engine of this version must be refuelled with oil besides fuel. Since it is dispatched without oil, remember
to insert it before starting the machine. Refer to the engine constructor's instructions, shown in the engine operating and
maintenance manual.

HOW TO START THE MACHINE

After having read the operating and maintenance instructions of the machine and engine carefully, proceed as follows:
A) check the oil level (in case fill up);
B) refuel;
C) open the petrol cock in the models equipped with it;
D) put the throttle in start position as prescribed by the engine operating manual;
Note: some versions have a separate primer which must be pressed some times.
E) go to the back of the machine, at the height of the handlebar grip, firmly grasp the grip of the starting cord and
pull rapidly and decisively;
F) a few seconds after the engine starts, move the throttle to MAXIMUM position;
G) firmly grasp both ends of the handlebar.
At this point the machine is ready to work.

HOW TO USE THE MACHINE

Read the instructions carefully. Get to know the controls and the correct use of the machine. Never allow children or
persons who have not read these instructions to use the machine. Work with the awareness that the operator is
responsible for the accidents or injuries caused to the persons or their property. Before starting work, inspect all the
zone to be cut, checking the existence of stones, pieces of wood and any other foreign object, removing or avoiding it
during work.
WARNING: when the engine is switched on never approach the mowing machine, do not insert
your hands between the engine and wheels.
During machine operation, ensure that no other persons are in front or at the sides of the machine, where some stone or
other object might be thrown from the mowing machine. Only cut in daylight or in good artificial lighting. Never use
the machine if the crankcase or protections are faulty or without safety devices. Do not change the setting of the engine
revs regulator. Do not overturn the machine during starting. Never lift or transport the machine with the engine in
motion.
Switch off the engine, detach the spark plug cap and wait for the disk to stop in the following cases:
A) before cleaning the obstructed parts;
B) before checking, repairing or cleaning the machine;
C) after having hit a foreign body. Inspect the machine to check if it damaged and repair it before restarting it and
making it re-operate;
D) if the machine starts to vibrate in anomalous manner. Check immediately;
E) before installing or removing accessories or applications.
Switch off the engine and wait for the disk to stop:
A) before leaving the machine;
B) before refuelling.
5.1

Running-in

Initially it is opportune not to use the machine non-stop for particularly heavy works (cutting of very dense grass) for a
long time. Note: it is never recommended to use the machine at low speed as the engine is already set to function at full
speed.
5.2

Transfer

The transfer of the machine from one place to the other must be made when it is at a standstill, possibly keeping the
front part of the machine slightly raised.
