Risk of fall on sloping terrain

If possible, avoid using the machine on wet grass. Always be sure of your steps when working on slopes. Walk, never
run. Take great care during changes of direction on slopes. Do not cut on excessively accentuated slopes. If you fall,
leave the machine without trying to withhold it.
2.4

Risk of pulling a muscle or contusions

A jerky starting manoeuvre may cause injuries if arm movement is hind
manoeuvring space. The manoeuvre may cause the pulling of a muscle if the grip is no
suffi
ciently decided. Pull the cable only with engine switched off, with the machine and body in stable position.
2.5

Risk of fumes intoxication

Do not make the motor function in a closed space to avoid the accumulation of carbon monoxide fumes.
2.6

Risk of fire

The risk of fire derives from the fuel.
WARNING: petrol is highly inflammable!
Store the fuel in a container used exclusively for this purpose. Always refuel in the open air and do not smoke during
this operation. Refuel before starting the engine. Never open the tank plug or add fuel when the engine is in motion or
still warm. If petrol emerges, do not try to start the engine but move the machine from the zone where the petrol is to
avoid creating a source of fire until the petrol vapours have dispersed.
2.7

Risk of burns

ASome parts of the engine may easily overheat. In particular, the silencer, situated on the engine side, normally reaches
very high temperatures and therefore a protection limits is possibilities of access. If dismantled, check that it has cooled.
2.8

General risks

Remember that the movements of children and animals are particularly unpredictable.
WARNING: do not cut grass if persons, especially children, or animals, are present.
If the machine does not possess the parking brake, it must not be left, even momentarily, in slope.
WARNING: do not leave the machine during the work phases or temporary stop.
At the end of the work the machine must be left in a place which cannot be reached by unauthorised persons.
2.9

Suitable clothing

During the cutting operation always wear strong shoes and long trousers. Never operate the machine with bare feet or
sandals. The use of goggles is recommended to avoid being struck by bouncing stones or other objects. If the work is
carried out on dry and dusty terrain, a dust-filtering mask must be worn.
