sounds and the fryer will turn off. To
stop the beeping sounds press any
button. The green READY light will
remain on for a short period of time
as the oil temperature is still being
monitored. If the food is not cooked or if
you want to continue cooking, press the
↑ button to start heating up the oil.
4. The red POWER indicator light will
remain illuminated when the cooking
time has elapsed, unless the "X" button
is pressed then it will start to flash.
5. When the food is cooked, lift the basket
up out of the oil and hook it onto the
frying bowl. This will drain excess oil
from the food. Next, lift the basket out
onto a drip tray and/or kitchen paper.
Battered or coated food may stick to
the frying basket. To prevent this, use a
slotted spoon to lift the food away from
the mesh straight after the basket has
been lowered into the oil. Then, allow
the food to cook, gently moving the
basket from side to side once or twice
during cooking.
6. Once you have finished using the
fryer switch the plug socket off (both
indicator lights and display will go out),
and unplug the fryer from the mains
plug socket.
7. Replace the lid and allow the oil
and the fryer to completely cool
before moving or cleaning it.
Always use the carrying handles when
moving. Never attempt to move the fryer
using the lid or frying bowl.
We recommend that once the oil has
cooled completely, it is best to remove
the oil from the fryer and to clean the
appliance before storing.

After frying
• Use a strainer to remove any loose
particles of fried food that may have
come off the main pieces and are
floating in the oil. Leaving them to toast
will have a negative effect on the quality
of the oil.
• Wait for the oil to cool completely before
disassembling and cleaning the fryer.
• If you are not going to use the fryer for
a while, we recommend that you store
the oil or liquid fat in airtight recipients,
either in the fridge or in a cool place.
Fill the recipients by straining the oil
or liquid fat through a fine sieve to
eliminate any left- over particles of food.
• If you have used solid fat, leave it to
solidify in the pan and then store the
fryer with the fat still in it. (See 'Using
with solid fat').
8. MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
• Before cleaning, unplug the fryer and
wait for it to cool.
• Remove the basket and disassemble the
handle (Fig. 5)
• Disassemble the control panel and if
necessary, clean with a damp cloth. Do
not submerge in water.
• Remove the pan from its housing (Fig.
6) and empty before cleaning. To remove
used oil or liquid fat, pour the contents
of the pan into the original recipient. If
you have used solid fat, wait for it to
