If the power cable or extension cord is damaged or cut during operation, immediately disconnect plug
from its main power source. Do not touch the cable or extension cord before unplugging from main
power.
IV. GETTING STARTED
Before any intervention on product, ensure that product is disconnected form its
power source.
4.1- Unpacking
Remove product from its packaging.
Check that product and accessories are not damage
4.2- Installation
Attention: before installing check that the technical specifications of the device, the pump and the
system are all compatible.
The pressure generated by the pump must be at least 0.5-1.0 bar greater than the restart pressure of
the device.
The effective pressure of the pump and the height of the water column of the system influence the
device and must be checked in relation to the restart pressure:
Restart pressure 1.5 bar (0.15 MPa)
The water column between the device and the highest service must not exceed 15 meters.
In the event of the height of the water column exceeding the level indicated, the pump will be enabled
without starting up. To overcome these problems install the device at a higher level in order to
recreate the above-mentioned conditions.
The device may be installed :
- directly onto the pump (see Fig.3): screw unit on pump outlet.
- or between the pump and the first service (see Fig.4): connect unit to suction line.
Advice: the connections assembly (suction hose and discharge hose) must be sealed with hemp or
Teflon or thread sealing tape so that the sealing is perfect.
If the input pressure of the device exceeds 10 bar (1 MPa), install a pressure reducer between the
pump and the device itself.
No tap can be installed between the pump and the device (see Fig.2 point 3)
It is imperative to install the device with the flow direction arrows pointing upwards
It is recommended to install a ball valve and a manometer at the output of the device to control the
operation of the pump and the device excluding the system by means of the valve, and checking the
effective extraction of the pump with the manometer.
It is also recommended to connect the output of the device to the system by means of a flexible tube
Before starting the device check that the pump is correctly primed.
4.3- Electrical connections
The electrical connections must be carried out by qualified personnel and in compliance with local
regulations in force.
It is always advisable to provide for the installation of an omnipolar switch upstream from the device
with a minimum opening of the contacts equal to three millimeters.
• Check the mains voltage and the nameplate data of the pump motor.
• Carry out the electrical connections.
- connect the pump's power plug to the unit's socket (7)
- connect the unit's power plug to a mains socket outlet (220-240V).
• Make sure that the device is grounded.
