To wash the brewing group thoroughly, turn the screw located above the coffee spout
anticlockwise with a coin so that the brewing chamber moves and you can wash the parts
which were hidden.
WARNING: The movement of the brewing chamber is restricted by locks. DO NOT FORCE them.
We advise you not to wash the brewing group in the dishwasher (although this would be
possible) because the coffee grounds would stick on the dishes.

Clean BELLA inside with a soft cloth.

Remove possible coffee grounds with a soft brush.

Reinsert the brewing group. With a coin turn the screw located above the coffee spout with
short anticlockwise movements while gently pushing the
brewing group (FIG. E). In this way you will be able to
push a little the brewing group. Then push it completely
into the unit. (As soon as BELLA is switched on,
it will automatically position the brewing group correctly).

Tighten the brewing group set screw.

Close the brewing group housing door.

Reinsert the coffee grounds box and the drip tray.
Lack of cleaning could cause an early wear of the brewing group gasket.
9.2 How to replace the brewing group gasket
When the brewing group gasket wears out, it must be replaced with a new original gasket (our
ref. GU043).
The unit must be switched off and unplugged.

Remove the brewing group by following
the instructions in point 9.1

Replace the old gasket with a new one (our ref. GU043).

3.2 Weak coffee

Place a cup under the coffee spout and press the weak coffee button

The operationg pilot light
will come on and BELLA will automatically grind and
compress the coffee, and then make and deliver a weak espresso coffee.
You can stop the coffee delivery by pressing the multifunction button
3.3 Two coffees

Place two cups under the coffee spout and press the strong coffee button

(depending on whether you want two strong coffees or two weak ones)
and immediately after press the two-coffee button
BELLA will automatically grind and compress the coffee, and then make and deliver two
espresso coffees.
Press the two-coffee button
before BELLA begins grinding, otherwise BELLA will

make and deliver only one coffee.
You can stop the coffee delivery by pressing the multifunction button
4. COFFEE BREWING - Ground coffee
WARNING:

DO NOT USE INSTANT WATER-SOLUBLE COFFEE. ALWAYS USE GROUND COFFEE.

ONLY PUT IN THE GROUND COFFEE CHUTE (N) THE NEEDED QUANTITY OF GROUND
COFFEE.

DO NOT KEEP GROUND COFFEE IN THE GROUND COFFEE CHUTE (N)

THE GROUND COFFEE CHUTE (N) IS NOT A CONTAINER.

KEEPING GROUND COFFEE IN THE GROUND COFFEE CHUTE (B) CAN DAMAGE THE
COFFEE MACHINE.
Ground coffee tends to lose its flavour if it comes into contact with the air.
4.1 Strong coffee

By using the specially provided spoon (M), put a spoon of your favourite ground coffee blend
in the ground coffee chute (N).
