Adjustment instruction • Initial Operation
Check conditions for a correct adjustment:
• The container is empty.
• The probe is mounted according to the mounting instruction (page 11-12) and mechanically fixed.
Caution: Changing the position of the probe requires a new adjustment!
• The electrical connection has been carried out correctly.
Caution: Take care that the colour marking of the probe cable is correct! - LED U
• Remove the cover ot the amplifier (Adjusting elements see fig. 3 or printing inside of the cover.
Caution: Please make the adjustment in the described order. Always start with Pos. 1!
During adjustment, please do not touch the coaxial terminals or have conductive tools come into contact
with them.
Do not adjust sealed potentiometers!

Actuating direction of the analogue output signal

Jumper „output" in left position
Jumper „output" in right position
Please note:
• For the tendency display to operate correctly according to the real filling level in the container, then the
„LED"jumper has to be in the same position as the „output" jumper (e.g."output" jumper on the right for a
decreasing signal, LED jumper on the right for the tendency display to increase according to the filling
level).
• After adjustment one can check the function of the output circuit by means of the „output" jumper.
This can be done only when the container is empty or completely full. Depending on the position (on the
right or the left) the output value has to be in the Max. or Min-range.

Fig. 3 - The sequence of adjustment:
1. Plug the jumper below the LED A to the left
2. Turn the left potentiometer no. 1 to the right
3. Plug the jumper below the LED A to the right
4. Turn the right potentiometer no. 2 to the right
5. Plug the jumper to Pos. 3 in the middle.
6. Adjustment is completed.
The measuring system is ready for operation.
= output signal increasing
