2. Proper Use
This electric underblanket is intended for warming beds. The electric underblanket heats up best
when it is switched on when covered with a quilt. The heating up time with the electric underblanket
covered is approx. 30 minutes. You can use either side of the electric underblanket.
3. Operation
3.1 Safety
The electric underblanket is fitted with the BEURER SAFETY SYSTEM (BSS). This electronic sensor
technology prevents the blanket from overheating over its entire surface by switching it off automa-
tically in the event of a fault. If, as a result of a fault, the electric underblanket is switched off auto-
matically by the Beurer Safety System (BSS), the signal lamp will no longer light up even when the
blanket is switched on. Please note that for safety reasons the electric underblanket must no longer
be operated after a fault and must be sent in to the service address stated.
3.2 Putting into operation
Spread out the heated underblanket flat on your mattress so that the cable entry
is located at approximately shoulder height (see illustration). The head section is
not heated.
Then pull the side section over the sides of your mattress like a fitted sheet. The
underblanket is designed to fit mattresses in sizes 35x80 in (90x200 cm) and
38x80 in (100x200 cm).
Then secure your fitted sheet as usual so that the heated underblanket is between
your mattress and the fitted sheet.
Make sure that the heated underblanket is always spread out flat and does not
ruckle or crease after use. Check its position when making the bed. The heated
underblanket should only be switched on if it is spread out flat.
The underblanket is connected to the switch by a plug-in connector.
