IMPORTANT
Please operate this function with schematic and correct testing procedure because applying voltage
arbitrarily may cause damage to components.
If you make a component power, press the switch of the multi-tester before touching the component
with the probe. This way you increase the lifetime of the switch.
Activate the components with negative voltage
Apart from applying the positive voltage, technician can
also use Auto Circuit Tester to provide negative voltage
to the components. To do this, please follow the
procedure:
•
Contact the Auto Circuit Tester tip to the
negative pole of the component; at this stage,
the red LED should be on if the component
working correctly.
•
Push the polar switch backward and release it
quickly. If the LED goes from red to green, you
may proceed further test
If the green LED goes off or the circuit breaker of the
short circuit protection tripped, it means Auto Circuit
Tester has overloaded. This may cause by the following
reasons:
The component Is short circuit
The component is a low resistance component.
If the circuit breaker of the short circuit protection has
tripped, it will auto-reset within no more than 60 sec.
Trailer Light Test
To test the trailer light, you need to follow the
procedure:
•
Connect the ground test lead to trailer ground.
•
Probe the tip to the outlet of the trailer; push the
polar switch forward.
•
Then technician can diagnose the function of
the trailer light.
Voltage Test
The device can also be used for voltage test.
This put both terminals away from battery and ground.
•
Connect the probe to the positive terminal of the
component.
•
Connect the ground cable to the negative
terminal of the component
•
The voltage can be read on the LED's.
Do not press the polarity switch during this test.
